BTS Of Spotlight:
As a snowstorm that passed a couple a weeks ago back in January 2022 in Toronto, one city I always wanted to shoot a snowstorm in is New York City! The only way to catch the snowstorm is to go last minute and the last week of January 2022, this goal became a reality! Last minute flight and hotel booked me a couple of frens headed into the storm while others would either stay indoors or fly away from the storm! Spotlight took many attempts to get the right person under the light and tell the story I envisioned in my head. The angle, shadows and positions of the subject were all at play and not mention the vehicles coming through the tiny street also, me standing on top of boxes near trash to get a higher perspective. To get the piece you want patience is key and it’s such a great feeling that when that vision in your head becomes reality!
