Bear Hug

The times can be good and times can be rough. During the rough times, we try to survive and try to make it to another good time. Times can be slow and nothing is going on.

Those slow times can be an opportunity to reflect, learn, grow, connect and build. Reflect on past mistakes. Learn new tools to help advance yourself. Grow your presence. Connect with new opportunities and friends. Build with what you have reflected on with the tools you have learned to bring those connections and opportunities to life.

We got to be there for each other, if possible, for our friends and family when times are tough. A conversation can go a long way and can help tremendously.

A conversation and a hug can go a long way and motivate the person to keep moving and take it to the next level.

A Hug in the Cold of the Bear can Ignite the Warmth of a Flame.

The Process // The Journey

Took some time to create the edit for this piece as I wanted to have a feeling of cold but warmth at the same time. I have a certain look to what I create and Bear Hug I had to take my time with the process. The colors were a bit tricky to work with but made it work. Lots of going back and forth and it felt good I have the piece the way I wanted it. Scene was documented with a Sony A7IV and a 50mm f/1.2 GM Lens. Edited with Lightroom and Photoshop.

New Years Night 2022 just walking around the city to get my mind in focus for the upcoming opportunities. Also, just to relax and vibe. Walking around the city in the night with the cold air hitting your face and the snowflakes just falling dancing around, there’s nothing like it. Something magical about the scenes we witness in the snowy nights of winter. Brings the city to life and also, me as an artist. We encounter one of a kind scenes that happen once and it’s done. That second or a few, paints a picture of everyday life.

This scene was truly magical. A person walking with a Big Bear in the core of Downtown Toronto. So many questions in my mind like, where did the person get the bear? Why is the person walking down the street with a big bear? Is the bear for someone special OR the person themselves? Then the emotion part that comes to play as we see a deeper message in this scene of the person carrying the bear. We see a message that in the cold it can be rough and sad but a hug or a conversation can bring joy and hope to a person. These are just some thoughts in my head. Would love to hear what y’all think this piece means to you? If you have a question of why or feeling.

Hope y’all enjoy Bear Hug and hope it brings questions and meaning to you as it did to me!
